CFB Week 2 Winners and Losers!

Kimi Antonelli wins his 8th race of the season at the new Madring track that now hosts the Spanish Grand Prix.
Antonelli started the race in second place, but a rough first lap saw him get passed by Max Verstappen and falling way behind pole sitter Lando Norris.
A contentious start though saw Verstappen have to give up second and third to Lewis Hamilton in order to satisfy the race stewards and avoid a penalty.
Hamilton, who was third in the drivers' championship, saw his race end almost immediately after suffering brake failure. He was able to bring his Ferrari back to pit road and has conceded he won't be the champion this season. Hamilton is still third in the drivers points but is now a full 101 points behind Antonelli.
Max Verstappen was able to recover and finish second, trying to keep pressure on Charles LeClerc, who finished the race in 4th after leading for most of the race on a different strategy thanks to a virtual safety car.
Lance Stroll suffered brake failure on lap 15, which brought out a virtual safety car with timing that cost Lando Norris the race lead as he was the only driver not able to pit under the VSC. Norris was able to get to the rear of Verstappen, but was unable to pass at the highly technical track that didn't favor overtakes.
George Russell ended up with the fastest lap of the race and finished 5th, with Liam Lawson, in his likely final race with Red Bull as Isaac Hadjar's substitute finished in 6th place.
Franco Colapinto tied his best ever finish with a seventh place finish. Oscar Piastri had contact with George Russell on the opening lap and was able to get the damaged McLaren home in 8th place. Arvid Lindblad brought it home in 9th place with Nico Hulkenberg taking the final point in 10th place for Audi.
McLaren gained 7 points on Ferrari and is now 52 points behind for 2nd place. This was being the 4th race in a row the Papaya team has gained on the Ferraris. Red Bull still trails McLaren by 76 points, this being the first race that they've gained on either Ferrari or McLaren since the Hungary Grand Prix. Alpine still trails Racing Bulls by 9 points for 5th place, after gaining 4 points on the junior Red Bull team.
